This piece is a visual representation of the Sanskrit poem called Garuda Dandakam. Garuda is adorned with 9 serpents and wields the power of cleansing toxins. The mighty wings flap with the songs of SAma Vedam. His eyes are the Gayatri Matra, Materials used – Gold foil, resin, mica pigment, palm fronds, acrylic and oil paints, glow in the dark pigment, alcohol inks and glass. The painting was made on a Dhoti stretched over a cradled wooden panel.
